William Lu and Linda Liang have been married since 2003 and have 2 beautiful daughters: Christina (Lu Xiao Tang) and Sarah (Lu Xiao Xuan).

Both William and Linda come from small villages near Yangshuo and studied Tourism and English in Guilin before returning to Yangshuo to start their businesses.

William opened 7th Heaven Cafe' & Hostel in 2000 and since then has made many friends from around the world who regularly come to stay.

William also works as a guide and has been involved as translator and assistant on movie projects in China.

In 2004 William and Linda together opened Cloud 9 Restaurant which soon became famous as one of the best restaurants in Yangshuo.


With Linda's knowledge of local food and flair for cooking they also decided to open a cooking school adjacent to the restaurant.

In 2007 they opened the Snow Lion Resort just outside Mushan Village on the banks of the Li River.

Other members of their families and local villagers work together with William and Linda in their businesses.
